Everest Region Trekking in Nepal! Mother Goddess of the World"
Magnificent mountain peaks, warm Sherpa hospitality, and a feeling of accomplishment await you when exploring the Everest area. The trek holds a variety of routes, which can be tailored to suit your schedule. Your adventure can last anywhere from a week to a month. The journey begins in the fertile valleys of Solu. The trekker will traverse deep canyons and tall ridges the first week, ascending a total of 9000m (the height of Mt. Everest itself). Although strenuous, the acclimatization gained, as well as lasting images of terraced fields, rhododendron forests, and tumbling gorges, validates the effort. Many travelers forego this first stage in favor of a shorter trip and fly directly into Lukla, where they wander through Kumbu Himal, the shadow of Everest. Spectacular peaks dwarf the ancient Buddhist monasteries along the trail, transporting the trekker into a timeless world within the remote mountain slopes. The beauty awakens the explorer in everyone many trekkers delve into side trips to the picturesque waters and hauntingly gray glaciers of Gokyo. Others conquer mini peaks over 5000m, which boast spectacular view of Mt. Everest. If you allow the time to ascend at your own pace, this trek is open to the moderately fit. The best time for trekking is early October to mid-November or late March to late April. It is also possible to trek in winter but be prepared for the cold.
